Taniya was born and raised in New Delhi. Like any other Indian family, she was nurtured with diverse culture and faith. Her love and passion for colours and organic motifs flood from her Dad who was a gardener and also possessed a keen interest in the same. Tanya pursued her Bachelor of Design from National Institute of Fashion, New Delhi. Later, she worked as a stylist with some renowned channels like CNBC, NDTV Goodtimes and MTV. Working with the director of Elle Magazine Mohan Neelakantan boosted her confidence. The secondary cast of Imtiaz Ali production Rockstar was also styled by Tanya. In between, she also started her pret label called OCD but eventually upgraded to run a design label by her own and that is how Ayinat came into existence.
